BUSY

I'm doing an autism certificate in summer which I am required to take 4 courses. On my first class, I found out that almost all of my classmates had training and knowledge in special needs education. They are either current special education teachers, doing master or credential in special education. For me, I have no idea about special education, not even the basic terms. Also, most students take only 2 classes each quarter. Therefore, I have to work super hard to pick up on the foundational knowledge and work on my autism classes. I am doing fieldwork in a special education school. The teacher told me that the students with autism are the most difficult to handle in a special education class. She wondered why the college allowed me to study the autism certificate without any previous knowledge and take all the four classes in one quarter. Haha... I don't know if I am the lucky one or not!!!
