牛年行大運

趁媽媽今年新年過黎, 特登叫佢從香港空運新年裝飾黎美國

今年仲可以親手收到媽媽的生肖金牌同利是

其實, 我仲係好想可以響香港過農曆新年, 希望過幾年後會有機會啦

到左啦!

爸爸﹑媽咪於終到左啦!!! 成年無見, 佢地黎探我真係好開心

可惜, 我請唔到假, 唔可以親身去接機, 唯有派遣佢地既好女婿去

今日返工心情特別靚, 因為一諗起放工會見到爸爸﹑媽咪就覺得好興奮

是夜, 有今仔﹑爸爸同媽咪一齊接我收工, 好威啊

這亦令我諗返起細個比人接放學既情景

跟住, 我地去左Buca di Beppo食晚飯, 點左Prosciutto Stuffed Mushrooms, Chianti Braised Short Ribs, Penne San Remo, Tiramisu to go.

食完飯響附近行左個圈, 順道散步, 然後一家四口一齊打道回府!

巨屋

I was so excited with this Gingerbread House Kit when I first saw it in Michaels long before Christmas, I couldn't stop myself from taking it home. However, I was too busy in December that I couldn't be able to start building the house.

After all our dear guests left Los Angeles, we finally got spare time to start doing our house building project. The first day was the most challenging. I had never expected the frosting need to be prepared by myself, instead of having them ready-to-be-used in the kit. After that, we had to use the frosting to glue the walls of the house together. The Gingerbread House was really too GIANT that we could hardly hold them together. I almost wanna give up that time and felt regret why I bought such a giant kit.

After two weeks of hardwork.......................

出師不利

本來安排左今朝有好多野做, 又要去學校, 又要返今家,

仲要同二姑媽飲茶, 於是急急腳出門口,趕住上freeway

一上到去就知出事啦

上到去先醒起今仔臨出門前同我講, 佢話210封左, 因為有架貨車倒瀉化學物品。

睇怕我都無可能去到學校同埋返今家, 唯有塞去下一個出口,

然後再行大運咁兜返屋企

返到屋企一開門, 竟然見到......

今仔

今仔見到我第一句就問︰

「你頭先有無見到個儍佬, 不斷跟住你架車後面係咁響安呀？」

完全唔知發生緊咩事既我只係不斷搖頭,

跟住今仔就話︰「o個個儍佬咪係我囉！」

原來我駕到去街口時, 今仔因為freeway封左, local又塞死晒,

無路可行既情況下折返屋企! 今仔架車響我隔離駛過,

但我完全無留意到。 佢話佢仲不斷"砵"我, 係咁同我揮手,

但係我頭也不回, 完全當佢無到

今仔仲要跟埋我上freeway再塞多一次！依佢所講, 佢"砵"到隔離綫既車全部都停晒,

但我都完全無停過, 於是佢唯有放棄, 自己返屋企先!

問題係︰「點解佢唔打電話比我, 而選擇跟住我呢？」

解答︰查實今仔打左六次比我, 但我唔小心按到"hold",

於是佢聽唔到我講野, 而我亦只係聽到收音機聲。

第二次佢打比我又係咁, 我不斷"喂"都無人應, 又係只聽到背景既聲音。

於是, 我斷定佢係唔小心按到先會打比我, 所以佢第四﹑五﹑六次既來電我都無理到!

今仔講返以上既事比我聽時, 我都深表同情, 但真係好想大笑出聲

最後我唯有講句︰「我駕車時實在太專心啦!」

Chemical spill closes eastbound 210 Freeway in Azusa

It's a traffic nightmare out there for commuters on the eastbound 210 Freeway in Azusa. All lanes on that side of the freeway are closed this morning after a semi-trailer truck toppled over, spilling liquid asphalt all over the road and creating a backup for miles.

The accident occurred about 5:45 a.m. near the Irwindale Avenue exit, said Officer Jennifer Connolly of the California Highway Patrol. The freeway is expected to remain closed until about 9 a.m. while Caltrans cleans up the mess and investigators try to determine why the semi rolled over. No one was injured, officials said.

Traffic on the eastbound 210 is being diverted to the northbound 605 Freeway. The transition from the northbound 605 to the 210 is closed as well.

Good News

This year has only started for less than two weeks,

but there are already a few pieces of good news happened on me

Firstly, I am grateful to have my Preliminary Teaching Credential granted,

so I can move on to my next step, i.e. going back to school.

Hope I can start studying in March

Next, I have finally listed my first item on Ebay,

it took me almost a year to do this (see how lay back I am),

wish my item can be sold in a good price

Actually, that item costs $0, but can have a face value up to $125!

Last but not least, my parents will come and spend Chinese New Year with me,

I can receive their "lai see" and blessings in person

Really miss them a lot and looking forward to be treated like a little girl

又地震啦!

琴晚七點幾響屋企睇緊「同事三分親」時, 突然感到周圍既物件在搖晃,

又係第一時間無醒覺到係地震, 仲諗緊有咩事, 以為隔離拆屋

跟住, 去LA Times個網頁睇下, 先知原來隔離縣(San Bernardino)發生4.5級地震

今仔正正就響o個度返工, 幸好佢已在駕車回家途中,

於是立刻打電話比今仔, 但佢竟然全無感覺, 可能係駕緊車既關係

Moderate Earthquake Strikes Near San Bernardino

A moderate earthquake struck a mile south of San Bernardino, but was felt throughout Southern California. CBS

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (AP) ―No damages or injuries are reported following a 4.5-magnitude quake that struck San Bernardino County.

The shaking was felt from north of Los Angeles down to the Mexican border.

The quake struck at 7:49 p.m. Thursday, a mile south of San Bernardino.

The U.S. Geological Survey initially reported the quake at magnitude 4.9, then 5.0, then it was downgraded to 4.5.

San Bernardino County Fire Supervisor Tim Franke described it as a "little roll and big jolt, then a sonic boom kind of noise."

USGS seismologist Lucy Jones says the quake struck about 10 miles deep near the San Jacinto fault, which is part of the San Andreas Fault system.

At least half a dozen smaller aftershocks followed including a magnitude-3.3 that rattled the region an hour later.
